Virtual Patient (VP)

The Virtual Patient project is funded by a grant from the Student Staff Partnership Grant (SSPG) at St Georges

Harpreet Chohan is the student lead, Dr Ali Al-Sakban is a clinical author and Dr Adrian Brown is the project lead.

The VP uses natural language recognition (AI) to match questions with responses. For any unmatched questions, the VP is trained, by Harpreet, to match responses to questions; in theory, there will be a finite number of responses to match any reasonable question. The starting point is around 200 responses, If you did not get the response you hoped we will look at any unmatched questions and add extra responses.

We are grateful for any feedback on the project and hope to add further cases for later year groups
